Injection Molding

PlasticNavi supports mold trials, pilot runs and repeat injection molding for custom plastic components. Production planning is based on the approved mold, resin, part requirements, quantity and secondary operations.

The molding shop operates injection molding machines with clamping forces from 50 to 500 tons and supports material weights from approximately 0.1 grams to 2.0 kilograms per cycle. Available processes include single-color molding, two-color molding, overmolding and insert molding. Computer-controlled machines and robotic hands support repeatable setup, process monitoring and automated production where appropriate.

PlasticNavi has produced custom plastic parts for automotive, electronics, medical, lighting, personal-care, sports-equipment, home-appliance and other product programs. Dedicated quality staff monitor production using the approved specifications and samples.

Quality controls may include material confirmation, first-article inspection, in-process checks, dimensional measurement, appearance review, functional testing and final release according to the agreed project requirements.

Production quantities: There is no single minimum quantity for every product. The practical batch size depends on material purchase, setup, mold condition, color, secondary operations, testing and packaging.

Existing molds: An existing mold may be reviewed for condition, standards, machine compatibility and required repairs before production is accepted.

LAB EQUIPMENT

Testing requirements are reviewed for each project. Relevant inspection and laboratory equipment may be available through PlasticNavi or approved testing partners, depending on the agreed scope and the required test standard.

Inspection support may include CMM dimensional measurement, drop testing, lifespan or cycle testing and impact testing when these methods are appropriate to the product and agreed project scope. The specific equipment, method, sample condition and acceptance criteria are confirmed for the project.

PlasticNavi performs routine production inspection and coordinates approved testing support when a test is outside the internal scope. Results are reviewed against the current drawing, approved sample or agreed test requirement before release.
